The primary goal in this free online puzzle game is to remove enough animals from the playfield to reach the final level. Matching the special pieces in the final level sends the animals off on a vacation and you win the game.

Grab any animal you choose by clicking on it, no matter of how many other animals are stacked on top of it. Move that animal (or group of animals) to any other part of the playfield and drop it by releasing the mouse button. By placing five or more animals of the same type next to each other (touching either vertically or horizontally), you'll make a match and those animals will disappear. Any animals stacked above the matching animals will fall into the empty space left behind.

Every time you make a move, the pressure gauge on the left side of the screen gets closer to the red zone. Once the needle gets into the red zone, you have only one move before a new row of animals comes into the playfield. If any animals fall over the fence as a result of a row being added, you'll lose one life pack per animal from the right side of the screen.

As you make matches, you earn points. You will also make progress toward the next level, as represented by the "Level" indicator on the left side of the screen. Every time you advance a level, a special piece (round with a star) gets added into the playfield. If you can make it to the final level and match all five special pieces, you win the game and earn a Jackpot spin!

Keep an eye out for power-ups that appear from time to time. Bombs allow you to remove large groups of animals at the same time, while the Freeze temporarily stops the pressure gauge from advancing.

Here are some tips and tricks to help you succeed in Stack'em - a fun turn-based puzzle game!

Each animal over the fence means one life pack is lost, so be careful or your game could end as the result of one bad move!

Remember, power-ups are only available for the duration of the pressure gauge cycle, but since the game is turn based, you can spend as much time as you like considering the best way to make your match.

If a power-up comes out as a result of a new row entering and you Undo the move, the power-up will not re-appear.

Bomb: The Bomb power-up, when matched along with four or more of the same colored animal, sends off all of the matching animals as well as any animals adjacent to any of the animals that were matched. In other words, if you match a vertical group of five sheep, all animals above, below, to the left, and to the right of each sheep would disappear as well. You can remove large groups of animals this way, and may even trigger a chain or combo as a result of the fallout.

Freeze: The Freeze power-up ices up the pressure gauge, allowing you to make five moves before the pressure begins to build up again.

to clear board---- whenever you get a star cube, put it with other star cubes. when you get all 5 star cubes next to each other. it doesn't matter if they are verticle, horizontal, just touching eaach other, it clears the board. Good luck!

This is one of my very favorite games and I wish they would add more ranks. Been at 50 for a long time!

It would be nice to be able to play it. I keep getting a message that one of pogo's servers are temporarily down. I've been getting a lot of those messages lately. :)

I'm with ya mk. I've never done it either and have played this game a lot on various levels. My high score is near 100,000 I believe...though I DID go over that playing it on Facebook but then got KICKED OFF before I finished so I didn't get credit! And it took a VERY long time to get that score! It said my session was timed out due to inactivity when I was clearly NOT inactive. So I refuse to play that on Facebook now trying to get a really high score due to that happening. Now I'll only try for a high score on Pogo's website.

But yes I too would like to clear the entire board just once to see what I'd get for it.

As you make matches, you earn points. You will make progress toward he next level as shown by the “Level Indicator” on the left side of the game screen. Every time you advance a level a special piece (a star in a circle) gets added into the play field. If you can make it to the final level and match all five pieces, you win the game and earn a Jackpot Spin.

The pieces do not need to be matched horizontally or vertically. They can be in a cluster such as three in one colum and two in the next colum. Just so they are in a group of 5.

Stack'em • Clearing the StackEm board

By mkai12 » May 16th, 2012, 3:40 am

I have played this game many times. Have not yet cleared the whole board. Maybe once I got down to one left, a star cube. Can someone please tell me how to line up the cubes so the whole thing clears. I would love to see how it works and how many extra score points are added. Thanks.

Just played another stack em game. What happens is: I finish the game. It switches to the score segment. When it does the whole screen jumps and it appears a whole new screen appears to show the score. The screen acts like it is separate from the game I just played. The high score link is dead on this new screen.

Glad I'm not the only one who feels like a traitor. Because I really enjoy the new embedded games! ;) It is like every thing is at your finger tips all on the same page. Granted I have had no problems with the new set up. THANK YOU JESUS <3 because reading through these forums there is allot of problems. I wonder why it effects some and not others? Thank POGO for the hours of fun. And to the ones having problems once they get all the bugs worked out for you I think you will grow to like the new format :) God bless

Pogo, I appreciate your fixing the high scores not displaying before, but it is happening again. One difference, this time when I click on the "show high scores" absolutely nothing happens. Will you be able to fix this one too?

Stack'em • Just have to say...

By Cricket9801 » May 13th, 2012, 3:32 am

I, like so many others, have posted my complaint on the bugs currently plaguing the POGO system, and I’ve been pretty *#$%# because there was no response from them. Have to say that just seeing that they are working on it (and the fact that 2 of my faves are working for me again, lol) eases the sting a little bit.

And – I feel like such a traitor – I’ve actually gotten to like the embedded games. I’m finding myself playing those more just because they ARE embedded. I have a billion badges and albums I’ve collected and not “won” yet because they are a pain in the who-ha to get to via the “old” system. LOVE, LOVE, LOVE how they have them in the window at the bottom!

Still a wee bit sore about the issues but not quite as much as I was. (I’m weakening, shame on me, lol!)

Stack'em • Negative Posts and Complaints about Pogo on the Forums

By pogo_Maul » May 11th, 2012, 6:02 pm

Due to the many current issues affecting members game play the Pogo Forums are receiving a lot of negative and unconstructive feedback. We are aware of the issues largely related to those unhappy with Embedded Game Pages (EGP), whether it be the design/lack of Pop-ups, or Games loading slowly, not able to continue after one game, or simply not loading at all. We are researching those issues and hope to have solutions in the coming weeks.

Because of the many current, common, and overly repeated complaints, and threats of unsubscribing we are simply going to remove or consolidate such posts as they simply are over burdening our Forum’s community in general. I would like to be clear, we are not ignoring these complaints and the issues that are triggering them. We are simply trying to maintain the forums as a relatively peaceful place where members can communicate in a positive and constructive manner.

Our Mods are here trying to help. If they remove a post it is because they are following Pogo’s and EA’s guidelines. If they feel for any reason that a post is negative or may incite negative responses they are well within their given powers to remove such a post.

Stack'em • Pogo is listening! :)

By pogo_Maul » May 10th, 2012, 6:30 pm

We know a lot of our members, Free and Club, have been having various ongoing and continuous issues with using our site for the last several weeks and month. We are working hard to try and narrow down the causes of these wide ranging problems.

The Game Loading and not being able to continue after playing a game are two of the largest issues that we are researching right now. We have been working directly with a few members to try and narrow down the symptoms and possible resolutions.

We have found a few things so far that are preventing players from normal game play, including certain browser add-ons and security settings. In many cases simply resetting the browser to its default settings and disabling add-ons that are not necessary for playing our games will resolve the problem.

We are still gathering information and as we do so, we will try to figure out if there are any adjustments we can make on our end so that these settings and add-ons do not interfere with people’s ability to play on Pogo. In some cases we may need to provide our users with more details on how they can make adjustments on their end so that they can continue playing. More details and information will be provided as they become more solid.

In addition to that, we also continue to look into the issues with Pop-up Game Windows, not being able to purchase Gems, various abuse issues, as well as new and old bugs.

We understand that these last few months with changes to our site, games, and EA Support have been very trying and we are indeed working to improve the experience for our fans. We greatly appreciate your patience.

note: I have locked this post because the issues mentioned are already being discussed by you and our other members in existing topics.

Stack'em • use to enjoy pogo

By riverqueen1940 » May 9th, 2012, 2:58 am

[/quote][/flash] I use to enjoy POGO, but NO more , if it's not doing one thing it's doing another. slow bringing games up, right now while I am doing games the screen just goes blank causing me to lose my game, and it does that a lot now, I thought it may be my internet but had my lnes checked out and they are fine. I also can't get a lot of my games now, some times I can and sometimes I can't. Don't even ask me about badge day and getting on line now.I try but a lot of times I have to wait til late at night when it' not over loaded. I had to change my brower several times , this according to pogo so I could get the new games they have now. This cause me problems because I am not the smartest computer person there is, I learn what I know on my own if that gives you a clue.
Anyway as they say pogo you can take it and shove it.
we have on a lot of game told you how we feel now you can either fix it or lose us cause we can play free too, cause what are our tokening getting us in the 1st place. A badge album that is so upseting to me and others ( a lot of others) if we are going to have to wait we can do it free .
